Position Summary

We are currently hiring for Project Engineers (Jr. and Sr.) to serve as Project managers, to lead and conduct research and develop products in collaboration with team members, for use in Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) and non-destructive inspection.

Responsibilities

  • SHM techniques development
  • Structural integrity testing

  • Algorithm development
  • Data analysis

Minimum Qualifications

  • Require MS or PhD in Structural Health Monitoring, Non Destructive Inspection, or any other related fields.
  • Experience in signal processing, familiarity with MS, MFC, C, C++, and Matlab. Structures background is a plus.

Position Summary

Acellent, a global leader in the field of Structural Health Monitoring, is currently hiring a Hardware Engineer. This is a full-time position. We are seeking someone who is an expert in understanding and interfacing with embedded hardware. The candidate will be responsible for leading development of new hardware designs, improving existing hardware designs, testing, debugging, and performing associated software and firmware development.

Responsibilties

  • Work with the team to define requirements for microcontrollers, ADCs, and other peripherals for new products
  • Update existing systems by improving hardware components, layouts, designs, and firmware
  • Initial bring-up of prototypes from the factory
  • Participate in schematic reviews to optimize hardware and firmware integration
  • Conduct analysis of sensor data
  • Assembly, testing, and QA of hardware products
  • Programming in Linux and RTOS environments
  • Lead projects and maintain development schedules as needed
  • Work with QA and customer support teams to identify and resolve issues in the field
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation and reports
  • Keep current on the latest industry trends in sensor and data-processing technology

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering or related field (Master’s degree or higher is preferred)
  • 5+ years’ experience with C and/or C++ programming
  • Familiarity with source-control systems (preferably Git)
  • Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, function generators, logic analyzers, in-circuit emulators, multimeters, soldering irons, etc.
  • Ability to read and modify schematics and interpret datasheets
  • Experience with PCB design and layout
  • Experience with hardware bring-up and debugging
  • Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills
  • Some project management experience
  • Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as part of a larger team
  • Ability to multi-task and acquire new skills as needed

Additional Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status is preferable (we work on many sensitive government projects); others will be considered on a case-by-case basis
  • 5+ years’ experience with project management
  • Expertise in sensors and real-time data-acquisition systems
  • Experience with Linux driver development
  • Experience in wired communications protocols (e.g, UART, SPI, I2C, USB, and Ethernet)
  • Experience with wireless communications systems (e.g., LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, etc.)
  • Knowledge of SPICE, Matlab, Solidworks, and schematic software (e.g. EagleCAD)
  • Knowledge of data analytics methods and/or signal processing techniques
  • Hands-on experience with soldering and rework on PCBs

Position Summary

Responsibilties

  • Work with team on sensor and device installation
  • Execute routine to moderately complex projects with limited supervision
  • Represent instrumentation in a professional and positive manner to internal and external customers, vendors, and stakeholders within the company
  • Assist in educating end users on system setup and requirements and recommend adequate preventive maintenance activities
  • Perform detailed inventory control using Excel spreadsheet
  • Assist with inventory reconciliation and refurbish surplus/unused equipment
  • Perform all related maintenance activities in a manner consistent with department policies and company requirements
  • Work with team on sensor and device installation
  • Work in a team environment, assist in projects requiring software development expertise

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in electrical or mechanical engineering, H.S. Diploma or GED, an Engineering degree (A.A., B.A., or CST Certification) is highly desirable
  • Must be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of electrical/electronics skills
  • Must possess good working knowledge of manufacturing, electronics devices, structural installation of sensors, etc.
  • Must be able to use oscilloscope, waveform generator, multi-meter, impedance analyzer
  • Must be able to use electronic test equipment and be able to read schematics
  • Must posses a good understanding of electrical engineering and electronics, PCB layout, soldering skills
  • Must posses a good understanding of structures or strain gages or other sensor installation on structures
  • Must be able to read, understand, and work from technical manuals and schematics
  • Must possess good technical writing skills and be able to write, review, and revise procedures and product manuals as required
  • Must have good documentation practices
  • Must be a good team player to work in a fast-pacing environment and meet deadlines
  • Computer and basic software/hardware skills required
  • Hardware engineering experience is strongly preferred
  • U.S. Citizenship required

  • Take promotional pictures of products
  • Create and edit videos for our new products
  • Organize raw footage into creative videos for public and targeted audiences
  • Use broadcasting skillset to produce intriguing and high quality product videos
  • Insert graphics, sound, and music into videos
  • Use tools such as Final Cut Pro and Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Aftereffects
  • Documentation

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. in film, media studies, or broadcasting
  • Ability to understand and use video and image editing software
  • Passion and experience with NDT, inspection, or similar industries and high tech products
  • Ability to work both independently and closely with others
  • Good communication and writing skills
